Welcome to the library!
The Upplands Väsby library is a public library open to everyone. It is located in the “Messingen” building next to Upplands Väsby station. When the main library section is closed, you can still return books in the ground-floor library section, which is open while the “Messingen” building is open.

For example we have books in Amharic, Arabic, Dari, English, Finnish, French, German, Mongolian, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Russian, Sorani, Spanish, Thai, Tigrinya and Turkish. We also have activities for people who speak other languages then swedish. For example Finnish Sundays, reading circles for Swedish language learners. If we don’t have books in your language, we can borrow books from the International Library or purchase them.
Talking books
Talking books are recorded for people with reading impairments such as a vision impairment or dyslexia. The library has over 1,000 talking books that you can borrow on disc. A larger selection of over 100,000 titles is available at Legimus, the download service of the Swedish Agency for Accessible Media (MTM). They have more than 16,000 titles in English. Talking books can be ordered for free. Contact us if you like to order talking books on disc. If you have a reading impairment you can get a Legimus user account from the library. With a user account you can listen to talking books with the Legimus app. Contact us to get a Legimus user account at biblioteket@upplandsvasby.se.
